Financial services firm Irish Life has revealed it has achieved business process excellence through the use of new software solutions.
The company has attributed its 35 per cent increase in productivity to the introduction of document management and business process management platforms created by Global 360.
After major growth, the firm struggled to keep in control of its business processes, while meant it chose to begin the overhaul of a number of its operations through the use of the solutions.
David Harney, chief executive officer of Irish Life Corporate Business, said: "Visibility has greatly improved and a key objective of standardisation has been achieved.
"It's been the best thing IT has ever done for the business."
Homeloan Management Limited recently revealed it was celebrating after winning a business process excellence award.
The company was given the Silver Award for Europe in the 2009 Global Awards for Excellence in Business Process Management and Workflow.
